Welcome to Happy Valley
We are a family owned self-catering guest lodge situated on a small citrus farm in the heart of the Franschhoek winelands. Two rivers border the farm, the smaller Kastaiings river and the Franschhoek river which joins the Berg river about 4 kms downstream. We are surrounded by mountains and boast exceptional views.
Happy Valley is situated 5kms from Franschhoek and is just a stroll away from the famous La Motte and Môreson vineyards. Join in our harvest and pick your own clementines in season!!
Our Manor House and Cottages offer the sought after peace, tranquility and privacy you would expect on a privately owned farm, with the lively little village of Franschhoek, food and wine capital of the Cape, a mere 5 minutes away.
Our swimming pool is in a secluded spot by the river with ancient oaks offering shade, and there are various braai areas around the Farm. There is a laundry service available.
La Maison
The historic Manor House, dating back to 1711 and the time of the early French Huguenots, has been beautifully restored. It can accommodate up to 11 people in stylish accommodation.
Laragne
Laragne has two bedrooms, one with double bed, one with twin beds.
Matopi
Matopi has one double room and one room with twin beds.
Lorraine
Lorraine is a secluded little cottage on the banks of the Franschhoek River making the perfect romantic getaway.
Le Pavillon
Le Pavillon is a double storey cottage with two bedrooms upstairs, one with a Queen size bed, one with twin.
